Neverwinter Mount Guide 2026 — Best Mounts, Insignias and Collars

Mounts in Neverwinter provide a combat power, stat bonuses through insignias, and movement speed. A poorly set up mount can cost you thousands of item level and significant DPS. Here is how to optimise your mount setup.

Mount System Overview

Mounts provide three things:

Mount Power — A combat ability on a 60-second cooldown (e.g., tunnel vision for DPS, divine intervention for healers)
Insignias — Socketed into mount slots for passive stats
Mount Speed — Account-wide unlock. Once you have a legendary mount on any character, all characters gain 110% speed.

Mount quality also contributes to your Mount Bolster, similar to the companion system. More Mythic mounts = higher bolster = more stats from insignias.

Insignia System

Insignias are gems socketed into mount slots. They provide stats and — when specific combinations are used — Insignia Bonuses (set effects).

DPS classes want Dominance, Aggression, Brutality, and Skill insignias. Tanks want Fortitude. Healers split between DPS stats (for damage contribution) and survivability.

Mount Collars

Collars are additional items equipped to your active mount. Up to three collar slots (unlocked with upgrade tokens from the Zen Market or events).

Mount Upgrade Strategy

Get a Mythic mount with a good combat power (Tunnel Vision, Swarm, or Divine Intervention). This also unlocks 110% mount speed account-wide.
Fill insignia slots with Epic/Legendary insignias that match your role.
Activate your desired Insignia Bonus by matching the correct types.
Equip mount collars when you can afford them — they are a lower priority than companions.
Collect additional Mythic mounts over time for the mount bolster.
