DPS Tier List
S-Tier
Wizard (Thaumaturge) — The dominant ranged DPS. Exceptional single-target and AoE damage with Fireball, Ray of Enfeeblement, and Icy Terrain. The Thaumaturge’s Chill/Freeze mechanics provide crowd control on top of damage. Highest DPS ceiling across all content.
Rogue (Assassin) — Melee DPS with the best single-target burst in the game. Stealth mechanics multiply damage on key abilities. Squishy, but the highest damage potential against bosses. Requires good positioning and encounter knowledge.
A-Tier
Ranger (Hunter) — Ranged DPS with extremely consistent damage. Hunter’s root abilities provide safety and control. Slightly lower burst than Wizard but higher sustained damage in long fights. Excellent for progression raiding where you cannot turret.
Warlock (Hellbringer) — Caster DPS with strong AoE and solid single-target. Hellbringer’s curses debuff enemies for the entire party. A valuable utility DPS that also brings competitive damage.
B-Tier
Barbarian (Blademaster) — Melee DPS with excellent AoE cleave. Strong for dungeon trash clearing. Single-target damage falls behind Rogue and Wizard. Very forgiving due to high HP pool.
Cleric (Arbiter) — Can DPS while providing off-heals. Decent damage but below dedicated DPS classes. Valuable in groups that need a flex healer.
Fighter (Dreadnought) — Tank-first class. Dreadnought stance does passable damage but is outclassed by every dedicated DPS. Only play this if you primarily tank.
Tank Tier List
| Tier | Class (Paragon) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Fighter (Vanguard) | Best mitigation, best threat generation, excellent mobility |
| A | Paladin (Justicar) | Strong healing passive, good AoE threat, second best tank |
| B | Barbarian (Sentinel) | High HP pool but weaker mitigation. Fun, but less reliable |
Fighter tanks dominate the current meta. Paladin tanks are preferred in pug groups for their self-sustain.
Healer Tier List
| Tier | Class (Paragon) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Cleric (Devout) | Best pure healer. Healing Word, Bastion of Health, and Guardian of Life cover every scenario |
| A | Warlock (Soulweaver) | Strong HoTs and shields. Soulweaver healing through damage makes them more engaging to play |
| B | Paladin (Oathkeeper) | Functional healing but lower throughput than Cleric. Brings good buffs |
Best All-Rounder Classes
If you want one character that can do everything:
- Paladin — Can tank and heal. The best solo class. Immortal in open-world content.
- Cleric — Can heal and DPS. Always wanted in groups.
- Barbarian — Can DPS and tank. Very forgiving for new players.
Best Group Composition for Endgame
| Role | Best Pick | Alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Tank | Fighter (Vanguard) | Paladin (Justicar) |
| Healer | Cleric (Devout) | Warlock (Soulweaver) |
| DPS 1 | Wizard (Thaumaturge) | Ranger (Hunter) |
| DPS 2 | Rogue (Assassin) | Warlock (Hellbringer) |
| DPS 3 | Warlock (Hellbringer) | Barbarian (Blademaster) |
Summary
For DPS: Wizard (Thaumaturge) or Rogue (Assassin). For tank: Fighter (Vanguard). For healer: Cleric (Devout). For versatility: Paladin. Current meta favours ranged DPS over melee due to safer positioning in master content.
