Windrose Traveler’s Camp Second Chest Guide
If you found the first chest at Traveler’s Camp in Windrose and could not work out where the second one is, the clue is real but easy to overthink. Current April 2026 guides give a very specific location and reward list.
What You Need Before You Start
You need a Shovel.
Current recipe:
- 3 Copper Ingots
- 10 Wood
Without the Shovel, you can find the spot but you cannot actually open the buried chest.
Where Traveler’s Camp Is
Current guides place the camp in the southwest part of the Tutorial Island.
At the camp, the first Decrepit Chest sits beside a tent.
What the First Chest Gives You
Looting the first chest gives the Twist of Fancy curio.
The important clue from that note is the buried gear being under the tree marked with a red flag.
Exact Second Chest Location
Current guide route:
- stand at Traveler’s Camp
- move directly west of the camp
- find the tree marked with a red flag
- dig just south of the tree
That is where the second Unique Chest is buried.
How to Dig It Up
Current instructions:
- equip the Shovel
- press X to change the shovel from Attack to Dig
- move until the game shows the orange circle
- dig at that spot
If the circle is not appearing, you are close but not exactly on the chest.
Current Reward List
Current April 2026 reward list:
- 5 Healing Potion
- 5 Greater Healing Potion
- 10 Homemade Gunpowder
That makes this one of the best early hidden-objective detours if you want extra healing and some firearm ammo support before your crafting chain is fully online.
Why This Chest Is Worth Doing
The big reward here is really the 10 Homemade Gunpowder, because it gives you early ranged support before your Gunpowder crafting route is unlocked.

- on the Tutorial Island
- west of the camp
- under the tree with the red flag
- buried just south of that tree
Bring a Shovel, switch it to Dig, and collect the early potions plus 10 Homemade Gunpowder.
