Windrose Seafarer Quest Guide
The Seafarer quest is the point where Windrose stops being a land tutorial and becomes a naval one. Current April 2026 references agree on the objective chain, and getting the order right matters because the game pushes several ship systems at once.
When Seafarer Unlocks

It is effectively the naval tutorial quest for:
- Shipwright’s Workshop
- 12-Pounder Cannons
- Wharf
- Ketch
- first proper boarding action
Objective 1: Build a Shipwright’s Workshop
Current objective requirements:
- 15 Wood
- 10 Coarse Fabric
- 5 Copper Ingots
Current guides also note two placement rules:
- place it under a roof
- keep it within Bonfire range
Objective 2: Craft 12-Pounder Cannons
Current recipe per cannon:
- 10 Copper Ingots
- 10 Wood
This is the first point where copper demand jumps hard, so do not start Seafarer with a weak ingot stockpile.
Objective 3: Build a Wharf
Current Wharf cost:
- 10 Wood
- 10 Coarse Fabric
Placement rules:
- build it on the shoreline
- keep it within Bonfire range

Objective 4: Equip Cannons to Your Ship
At the Wharf:
- interact with the table
- open Ship Selection
- choose your ship
- select Manage Ship
- drag the cannons into the Ship Gear slots
Do not just craft the cannons and stop there. The quest expects them to be equipped through the Wharf interface.
Objective 5: Craft a Ketch
Current Ketch recipe:
- 150 Wood
- 100 Nails
- 40 Coarse Fabric
- 30 Rope Fiber
This is your first purpose-built combat ship in the current tutorial path.
Objective 6: Fight Blackbeard’s Transport Ship
Current Seafarer references identify Blackbeard’s Transport Ship as the tutorial target.
The fight teaches:
- cannon volleys
- hull damage vs sail damage
- positioning
- boarding timing
Boarding Sequence
Current wiki breakdown:
- lower the ship until boarding becomes available
- pull alongside it
- wait for the boarding prompt
- press Space to board
- defeat the enemy deck crew
- loot the cargo
The Seafarer sequence currently expects you to kill 7 enemies on deck.
