Oryx’s Sanctuary, often referred to as O3, is the pinnacle of difficulty in Realm of the Mad God. Completing this Exaltation Dungeon requires practice, precise movement, and the right preparation.

The Celestial Phase

The run-killer for most new players is Oryx’s “Celestial” phase.

• The Pattern: Oryx unleashes a massive barrage of stars and pet stasis portals.
• The Strategy: Do not panic run. There are consistent gaps in the pattern. The safest method is to rotate with the gaps. Imagine the room as a clock face; move slowly clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on the rotation of the beams, staying in the “lanes” between shots.
• Crossers: Watch out for the beams that cross through the center. Never stand perfectly still in the middle.

Recommended Classes

If your goal is just to complete the dungeon (and not top-damage), bring survivability.

1. Priest: The gold standard for learning O3.
   • Item: Tome of Purification (Puri). This allows you to cleanse the status effects that often lead to death, like Armor Break or Slow.
2. Knight:
   • Stat: High Defense. A maxed Knight can tank shots that would insta-kill a robe class. The stun is immune on Oryx, but the defense is invaluable for the minions and clearing the way.

Pro-Tip: HP Potions

In O3, reaction time is everything.

• Pre-Potting: Do not wait until your health bar flashes red. If you see a shotgun of bullets coming that you know you can’t dodge, drink an HP potion before you get hit. This keeps you above the execution threshold.
