FFXIV Dawntrail: Field Operation Shades of Tural Logogram Locations
Patch 7.35 has introduced the highly anticipated Field Operation, Shades of Tural. Similar to Eureka and Bozja, this zone utilizes a unique action system. This guide covers where to find the newest Logograms to expand your arsenal.
Farming Logograms in The Shifting Sands
The most sought-after Logograms in this update drop in Zone 2: The Shifting Sands. You will need to farm specific enemy types to obtain them.
Target Enemies: Corrupted Mamool Ja
The best drop rates currently come from the Corrupted Mamool Ja enemies scattered throughout the northern section of The Shifting Sands.
- Mob Level: 105
- Drop: Unidentified Logogram: Warfare
- Best Farming Spot: Near the quicksand pits at (X: 22.4, Y: 18.0).
These mobs can be soloed, but it is highly recommended to join a “Cluster Farm” party in the Party Finder to maximize your drops per hour.
Crafting the New “Lost Flare” Action
The primary reason players are farming these specific Logograms is to unlock the new Caster DPS action, Lost Flare. This action is a potent AoE dot that is essential for clearing large packs in the Critical Engagement raids.

Visit the Camp Appraiser at the base camp to combine your Logograms.

- Logogram of Wisdom (x1)
Result: Lost Flare
Make sure you have enough inventory space before appraising your stacks, as the unidentified items occupy a different slot than the appraised actions!
