Farming Star-Metal in Final Fantasy XIV’s new Cosmic Exploration content is the key to unlocking the rarest cosmetic rewards, including the Starlight Mount. However, the nodes are spread across vast distances, making an optimal route essential.

This guide details the fastest loop to gather 500+ Star-Metal per hour.

The Loop: “Star-Ring Run”

The best concentration of nodes is in the Outer Ring: Sector 4.

1. Start Point: Teleport to the Sector 4 Aetheryte.
2. Node 1 (12, 18): Just North of the crystal.
3. Node 2 (15, 22): Fly East along the asteroid belt.
4. Node 3 (10, 25): Loop back West towards the docking bay ruins.
5. Node 4 (8, 20): Hidden behind the large debris field.

Required Stats

• Perception: > 4200 (To trigger HQ bonus).
• GP: > 900 (For “Bountiful Yield II” spam).

Gathering Rotation

For maximum yield on each node:

1. Review Node: Check for bonuses (+Yield, +Attempt).
2. Action: Use Solid Reason (if GP allows) -> Wise to the World (proc).
3. Action: Any remaining integrity -> Bountiful Yield II.
