How Spray Patterns Work

In CS2, each weapon has a fixed recoil pattern. The pattern never changes — bullets always follow the same path. You counter this by moving your mouse opposite to the pattern.

The Two-Phase Spray

Phase 1 (Bullets 1-10): Vertical recoil. Pull straight down. Phase 2 (Bullets 11-30): Horizontal recoil. Track the side-to-side movement.

For most fights, you only need the first 10-15 bullets. Mastering the first 10 bullets is enough for 90% of engagements.

1. Stand at medium range (~15m) from a wall

4. Repeat until you can keep all bullets in a tight circle
