Choosing Your First Wayfinder

Each Wayfinder has a unique weapon, abilities, and playstyle. You unlock more as you play, but your first choice shapes the early game. Wingrave (Sword and Shield) is recommended for beginners — self-healing, good damage, forgiving. Silo (Dual Pistols) for ranged DPS. Niss (Daggers) for speed-focused melee.

Core Progression

Progress through the main quest to unlock new zones. Each zone has a recommended power level. Run dungeons repeatedly for crafting materials used to craft and upgrade weapons at the Huntmaster NPC. Weapons are crafted, not dropped — gather materials, craft, upgrade.

Imbuements (Dungeon Modifiers)

Add imbuement items (Flora, Mutator, etc.) to dungeon keys to increase difficulty and rewards. Each imbuement adds a loot multiplier. Stack multiple imbuements once comfortable with dungeon mechanics.

Summary

Start Wingrave. Craft weapons at the Huntmaster. Use imbuements for better loot. Upgrade your Wayfinder’s Awakening tree for permanent stat bonuses.

Awakening System

Each Wayfinder has an Awakening tree unlocked at level 5. Awakening points come from leveling and completing priority missions. Invest points in order:

  1. Weapon Mastery — +15% damage with your Wayfinder’s weapon type. Mandatory first pick.
  2. Ability Cooldown Reduction — 10-25% faster cooldowns. More abilities = more damage.
  3. Survivability — +HP or +Defence. Take after you have enough damage.
  4. Utility — gold find, imbuement bonuses. Quality of life, low priority.

Never spread points evenly — max one path first. A fully awakened Wingrave deals 40% more damage than a fresh one.

Imbuements Quick Reference

ImbuementEffectMultiplier
FloraAdds poison enemies, poison resistance1.5x loot
MutatorEnemies mutate mid-fight, unpredictable buffs2.0x loot
ShadowDarkness mechanic, reduced visibility2.5x loot
SolarFire enemies, burn damage over time2.0x loot

Start with Flora only. Add Mutator once comfortable. Shadow and Solar are for experienced groups. Stacking 3+ imbuements multiplies loot by 4-6x — the best way to farm rare crafting materials.
