Throne & Liberty 2026 PvP Meta: The Castle Siege Tier List

The first major balance patch of 2026 has completely upended the GvG meta in Throne & Liberty. The dominance of the Greatsword/Dagger dive meta is over. We are now entering a poke-and-sustain era.

Here is the Tier List for Castle Sieges (50v50+).

S-Tier (Must Haves)

1. Wand / Longbow (The Healer Sniper)

  • Why: The Longbow’s Nature’s Blessing buff was increased to cover 20 targets. Combined with Wand healing, this build keeps entire zergs alive.
  • Role: Backline Support / Cleansebot.

2. Staff / Dagger (The Bomber)

  • Why: Even with the Dagger stealth nerf, the Staff’s Meteor damage scaling was buffed by 15%.
  • Role: Stealth bombing enemy backlines. You go in, drop Meteor + Ice Spear, and recall out.

A-Tier (Strong Options)

3. Sword & Shield / Wand (The Paladin)

  • Why: The ultimate frontline. You are unkillable. The Counter Barrier skill now reflects 40% of ranged damage, making you a hard counter to the Longbow meta.
  • Role: Frontline engage / Crowd Control.

4. Crossbow / Dagger (The Machine Gun)

  • Why: Single target deletion. Perfect for hunting down enemy commanders or stray healers.
  • Role: Flanker / Assassin.

B-Tier (Viable but Niche)

5. Greatsword / Anything

  • Why: The nerf to Guillotine Blade animation speed makes it too easy to block. It’s still good for CC, but you won’t one-shot anyone anymore.

The Strategy Shift

Guild leaders take note: “Ball groups” are weaker now due to AoE damage caps being removed on Staff spells. Spread out your forces. Flanking squads are more valuable than a single deathball in 2026.
