PSO2 NGS Best Classes Tier List 2026 — Meta Ranking for All Content

Class balance in New Genesis shifts every major update, but some classes consistently outperform others across most content. This tier list ranks every class for solo play, bossing, mobbing, and overall versatility as of mid-2026.

Note: Verified as of July 2026. Check official patch notes for updates.

If you’re looking for Complete PSO2 NGS class tier list for 2026, or Rankings for solo play, bossing, mobbing, and endgame DPS, you’re in the right place.

S-Tier — Dominant in All Content

Slayer

The current king of DPS. Slayer’s Gunblade gives absurd burst damage with Relentless Blade and Unleashed Rage. Exceptional mobility with its counter-heavy playstyle. Excels at both solo and group content. The only downside is a steep learning curve for perfect counters.

Bouncer

Jet Boots and Soaring Blades give Bouncer unparalleled aerial mobility and strong elemental damage. Jet Intensity and Soaring Blades’ Fanatic Blade melt bosses. Bouncer is the best class for open-field PSE Burst farming thanks to wide AoE and fast movement.

A-Tier — Strong and Reliable

Hunter

The most consistent melee class. Hunter’s Hunter Physique passive gives massive damage reduction, making it nearly unkillable. Sword, Wired Lance, and Partisan cover all ranges. Not the highest DPS, but the best survival-to-damage ratio in the game. Top pick for solo players.

Ranger

Ranger’s Weak Bullet (Blight Rounds) remains the most valuable party utility in the game. A single Ranger multiplies the entire party’s damage by 1.2x on blighted targets. Rifle for single target, Launcher for mobbing. Essential for any organised group.

Braver

Katana for single-target burst, Bow for ranged DPS and mobbing. Brave Combat gives a massive damage window every 90 seconds. High skill ceiling with perfect counters, but rewards mastery with top-tier DPS.

B-Tier — Viable with Investment

Fighter

Twin Daggers, Knuckles, and Double Saber give Fighter the most complex toolkit in NGS. Overload and Limit Break provide huge damage boosts at the cost of HP. Extremely high damage potential, but one mistake means death. Only recommended for experienced players.

Waker

Pet-based playstyle with Harmonizer. Very safe and consistent damage. Familiar Harmony provides party-wide buffs. Lower personal DPS than S/A-tier classes, but the safety and utility make it great for learning fights. The best class for players who want a relaxed experience.

Force

Elemental casting with Rod and Talis. Force has excellent AoE and respectable boss damage, but suffers from long casting animations and low HP. Photon Flare provides burst windows. Pair with Hunter subclass for survival or Bouncer for PP efficiency.

C-Tier — Niche or Underpowered

Gunner

Twin Machine Guns are stylish but undertuned. Chain Trigger requires precise setup and the payoff doesn’t match Slayer or Braver numbers. Fun to play, but you will work harder for the same results.

Techter

Support-focused with Wand and Talis. Shifta/Deband buffs are always welcome, but Techter’s personal damage is the lowest in the game. A good subclass for Force, but rarely the optimal main class.
