Project Gorgon: Vampire Skill Unlock - The Blood Altar Ritual
Unlocking the Vampire skill line in Project Gorgon acts as a permanent transformation for your character. It offers powerful life-stealing abilities but comes with a severe gameplay penalty during daylight hours.
This guide explains exactly how to perform the Blood Altar Ritual and what items you need to bring to Eltibule.
Prerequisites
Before attempting to find the altar, ensure you meet the following hard requirements. You cannot unlock this skill casually.
- Skill Requirement: Necromancy Level 50. You must be a proficient Necromancer to understand the ritual.
- Item Required: Vial of Innocent Blood. This is a rare drop from high-level humanoid NPCs or can be purchased from other players.
The Ritual Location
The ritual takes place in a hidden crypt within the Eltibule zone.
- Find the Crypt: Search the northern mountains of Eltibule. Look for a hidden cave entrance obscured by grey rocks.
- The Altar: Inside, fight your way past the undead guardians until you reach the central chamber containing the Blood Altar.
- Interaction: With the Vial of Innocent Blood in your inventory, interact with the Altar. You will be prompted with a warning.
Warning: The Sun Weakness Debuff
Read this before confirming. Becoming a Vampire applies a permanent debuff to your character.
- Sunlight Burn: When outdoors during the day (6am to 6pm), your Health and Power regeneration is halted.
- Stat Penalty: Your combat stats are significantly lowered while in direct sunlight.
- Mitigation: You will need to wear heavy hooded headgear or stick to dungeons/night-time gameplay to function at 100% efficiency.
