Mortal Online 2: The 2026 Territory Control Update

Mortal Online 2 continues to be the most hardcore sandbox on the market. The February 2026 update addresses the long-standing complaints about โ€œstagnantโ€ territory maps.

Note: Verified as of July 2026. Check official patch notes for updates.

If youโ€™re looking for Star Vault has overhauled territory control, or Sieges are now cheaper, and keeps are more valuable, or A survival guide for the new political landscape, youโ€™re in the right place.

Dynamic Upkeep Costs

Previously, mega-alliances could hold 10 Keeps easily.

  • Change: Upkeep now scales exponentially based on the number of structures a guild owns and the distance from their capital.
  • Result: Large empires are fracturing. We are seeing more small-scale skirmishes as guilds abandon outlying forts they canโ€™t afford.

Siege Engines: Trebuchets are Back

Trebuchets have been reintroduced with physics-based destruction.

  • Cost: expensive to craft (requires 5000 Steel).
  • Transport: Must be towed by horses. The convoy is vulnerable.
  • Damage: Can destroy a T1 wall in 5 hits.

New Resource: โ€œStarfall Oreโ€

A meteor event now triggers randomly in the world.

  • This ore is the only way to craft the new T3 Plate Armor.
  • The meteor location is announced globally, creating an instant King of the Hill PvP zone.

State of the Game

The population has stabilized around 2,500 concurrent players (Steam charts). While niche, the political drama is at an all-time high. If you want Game of Thrones without the dragons (mostly), now is the time to join.
