Mortal Online 2 Sarducaa PTR now has hard details, and this one matters because players can easily waste character planning if they miss Haven rules. Here is exact June 17 PTR timing, what third character slot does, and how new lockpicking system works.
Mortal Online 2 Sarducaa PTR Date
Star Vault confirmed Sarducaa PTR begins Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Current PTR plan:
- Server opens June 17
- Test expected to stay up through rest of week and weekend until Monday morning
- Star Vault may extend PTR depending on how testing goes
- Large parts of Sarducaa will be blocked off to avoid spoiling full release
This PTR is primarily for technical testing and continent-support overhauls, not full sightseeing.
Third Character Slot in Sarducaa
Star Vault also confirmed third character slot arrives with Sarducaa, and it will already be enabled during PTR.
That means:
- You do not need to delete one of your existing characters
- PTR testing for new slot is active immediately
- Transfer path still goes through Haven
During PTR, Glory gain in Haven will be massively enhanced so testers can move through starting flow quickly.
Haven Rules for Sarducaa Release
This is most important restriction in official post.
For live Sarducaa release:
- Only new characters created after release can travel to Sarducaa from Haven
- Existing Haven characters cannot leave for Sarducaa
Star Vault says this is part of keeping Sarducaa closer to fresh-start experience.

Sarducaa Server Location
Sarducaa server will be hosted in an East-Central North America location.
Developer explanation is mostly hardware and performance driven. Star Vault says this was chosen over West Coast alternatives because of server requirements and performance/capacity tradeoffs.
For NA players, short version is simple: Sarducaa is confirmed as North America-hosted continent.
Mortal Online 2 Lockpicking Guide
Lockpicking is new standalone Primary skill in Profession tree. It is not old MO1 system copied over. Star Vault says it was rebuilt around smoother play, skill mastery, and more realistic lock behavior.
Lockpicking Tiers
There are three lockpick tiers and matching chest tiers:
- Novice
- Adept
- Master
Higher-tier chests have more pins, up to 8 pins.
Lockpicking Skill Requirements
Skill gates are strict:
- Novice Lockpicks: usable by anyone
- Adept Lockpicks: require 50 Lockpicking
- Master Lockpicks: require 100 Lockpicking
Where Lockpicks Come From
You do not buy these from NPC vendor.
- Novice Lockpicks can drop from barrels and are meant to be common
- Adept Lockpicks come from Novice chests
- Master Lockpicks come from Adept chests
So progression is intentionally chained. You climb tier by tier.
Dungeon Chest Rules
Dungeon loot changed with this system:
- All dungeon chests are now lockpickable except boss chests
- Boss chests still need specific key
- Normal dungeon chests are Master difficulty
- You need 100 Lockpicking and Master Lockpick for full dungeon chest access
- Dungeon mob keys still drop, but at lower rate than before
That creates obvious group value for dedicated lockpicker builds.
What to Do Before June 17
If you plan to test Sarducaa efficiently:
- Decide whether third slot will be your Sarducaa test character.
- Do not assume old Haven character can enter new continent after launch.
- Plan for lockpicking investment if dungeon chest access matters to your build.
- Expect partial map lockdown during PTR.
