Throne and Liberty: Vorax Archboss Guide

Vorax the Earth-Eater is the new Archboss introduced with the Talandre update. Spawning in the Shattered Canyons, this worm-like colossus requires coordination between huge alliances.

Spawn Times

Vorax spawns every Tuesday at 22:00 and Saturday at 20:00 (Server Time). The zone becomes a Conflict Zone (PvP enabled) 30 minutes prior.

Key Mechanics

1. The Sandstorm (Phase 1)

Vorax burrows and creates a massive sandstorm covering the arena.

  • Mechanic: Visibility is reduced to 5 meters.
  • Strategy: Guilds must stack tightly on the “Safe Totems” that appear.
  • PvP Tip: Greatsword users should use “Gaia Crash” on enemy totem stacks to push them out of safety.

2. Devour (One-Shot)

Vorax targets the player with the highest aggro (usually main tank).

  • Telegraph: A red circle appears under the tank, following them.
  • Action: The Tank must use a Stun or Sleep skill on Vorax during the telegraph wind-up.
  • Fail: Tank is eaten (Instant Death) and Vorax heals 5%.

3. Crystalline Skin (DPS Check)

At 50% HP, Vorax hardens his skin, reducing damage taken by 90%.

  • Solution: Players must pick up Acid Bombs dropped by “Digestive Slimes” that spawn around the edges.
  • Throw: key R to throw the bomb at Vorax to break a stack of armor.
  • Requirement: 20 stacks must be broken in 60 seconds.
  • Greatsword: Essential for CC and breaking Totem stacks.
  • Longbow: High single-target DPS for the boss.
  • Wand: AoE healing is critical during the Sandstorm tick damage.

Loot Table

  • Vorax’s Plate Armor (Mythic Chestpiece - BiS for Tanks)
  • Earth-Eater’s Mandible (Dagger Crafting Material)
  • Archboss Soul Stone (Used for Guild Tech)

Winning Tip: Control the high ground cliffs. Ranged DPS can hit Vorax from the ridges while avoiding the ground-based “Tremor” attacks.
