RotMG: Exalted Sorcerer Guide

The Sorcerer class was often seen as just a fame farmer. However, February’s balance patch increased the WIS scaling on Scepters, making Sorcerer a top-tier DPS for endgame dungeons like Oryx 3.

The Stat Cap (Exalted)

You need to be 8/8 Maxed.

• ATT: 75
• DEX: 60
• WIS: 75 (Crucial: Your ability damage scales off this).

Gear Loadout

Wand: Luminaire

From O3. The wavy shot pattern is hard to aim, but if you hit all shots, it out-damages everything.

• Alt: Wand of the Fallen (easier to use).

Scepter: Scepter of Devastation

From the Parasite Chambers.

• Why: Targets fewer enemies but deals massive single-target damage. Perfect for bosses. It now scales 15 damage per 1 WIS.

Robe: Diplomacy

From the Secluded Thicket.

• Stats: +15 WIS, +6 ATT. The WIS boost is the highest in the game for robes.

Ring: The Twilight Gemstone

From the Shatters.

• Stats: +6 SPD, +6 DEF, -40 HP.
• Effect: Reduces MP cost of ability. Allows you to spam your Scepter non-stop.

Playstyle

• Range: Stay at maximum range (9 tiles). RotMG is a bullet hell; distance is safety.
• Spam Spacebar: With the Twilight Gemstone and high WIS, your MP regen is insane. Hold spacebar to constantly zap the boss.
• Oryx 3 Tip: During “Celestial” phase, focus on dodging. Your Scepter is auto-aim, so you can deal damage without looking at the boss.
