Perfect World International Homestead Guide
The Homestead is Perfect World International’s personal housing and resource system. Each player owns a private land area where they can construct buildings, cultivate plants and materials, and produce crafting ingredients that can be used or sold. The Homestead grows with investment, providing meaningful long-term progression outside of combat.
How to Access Your Homestead
Your Homestead is accessible through the Homestead portal NPC or the dedicated Homestead interface button in the game UI. You enter a private instance that only you (and invited guests) can visit.
The Homestead is personal — other players cannot access it without an invitation. This makes it a safe place to manage crafting and resources.
Homestead Level and Upgrading
Your Homestead begins at Level 1 with limited plots and buildings available. You upgrade it by:
- Contributing Homestead EXP — earned from completing Homestead quests and tasks
- Spending resources produced within the Homestead itself
Higher Homestead levels unlock more building slots, more plot types, and access to rarer crop and material options.
Homestead Level Milestones
- Level 1–3: Basic structures available; small number of plots
- Level 4–6: Mid-tier buildings unlock; more plots for cultivation
- Level 7–10: Full production capacity; access to rare material crops
Buildings You Can Construct
Homestead buildings perform different functions:
| Building | Function |
|---|---|
| Farm | Grow plants that produce crafting materials |
| Workshop | Process raw materials into refined goods |
| Spirit Garden | Grow spirit plants used for buff potions |
| Ranch | Raise animals for meat, leather, and pet-adjacent materials |
| Warehouse | Increases Homestead storage capacity |
| Watchtower | Provides some passive bonus or protection mechanic |
Buildings are constructed using Homestead Materials — resources gathered from within the Homestead or purchased from vendors.
Cultivation and Farming
The farming system within the Homestead is one of its most active features. In your Farm plots:
- Plant seeds purchased from the Homestead Merchant NPC
- Wait for crops to grow (real-time timer, ranging from minutes to hours)
- Harvest the crops for raw materials
- Replant immediately to maintain production
Common Crop Types
- Herb plants — used in alchemy and crafting potions
- Mineral-bearing plants — unusual plant types that produce ore-like materials
- Spirit plants — materials used in enhancement consumables
Higher-level seeds produce rarer materials but take longer to grow and cost more to plant.
Workshop Production
The Workshop converts raw Homestead crops into refined goods. You set a production queue, and the Workshop processes materials over time. Refined outputs include:
- Crafting components for gear upgrades
- Materials for Homestead building construction
- Trade goods that can be sold to players or NPCs
The Workshop has queue slots — more slots unlock at higher Homestead levels, letting you run multiple production jobs simultaneously.
Homestead Quests
Completing Homestead-specific quests awards significant Homestead EXP for leveling your base. These quests typically ask you to:
- Harvest a specific number of crops
- Produce specific Workshop items
- Reach certain Homestead level thresholds
- Complete construction of specific buildings
Homestead quests refresh daily and weekly, making daily log-ins rewarding for players focused on Homestead progression.
Homestead Resources and the Economy
Homestead-produced materials have value in the broader player economy:
- Spirit Herbs are needed for high-end consumables
- Refined materials can shortcut crafting chains for players who don’t have a Homestead leveled
- Some Homestead goods are ingredients for the game’s highest-tier equipment upgrades
Producing surplus materials and selling them on the Auction House is a consistent income stream for players who maintain their Homestead actively.
Tips for New Homestead Owners
- Log in daily just to harvest — crops spoil (or miss growth windows) if you don’t harvest promptly
- Level your Homestead steadily — do Homestead quests every day until you hit the next level milestone
- Prioritise your Workshop early — refined materials from the Workshop are more valuable than raw crops
- Plant long-growth crops before logging off — short-cycle crops during active play, long-cycle crops overnight
- Upgrade your Farm plots first — more plots means more crop output, which feeds everything else
- Invite guild members occasionally — some Homestead interactions benefit from having visitors
