If youโ€™re looking for Dominate the league start with this PoE 2 Monk build, or Learn how to use Thunder Fist and the Storm Sage Ascendancy for massive DPS, youโ€™re in the right place.

Core Mechanics

Key Skill: Thunder Fist

The bread and butter of this build is Thunder Fist.

  • Effect: A melee strike that chains lightning to nearby enemies.
  • Synergy: We scale attack speed to proc the lightning chains as frequently as possible. The chains automatically target enemies, allowing you to clear screens without perfect aim.

Ascendancy: Storm Sage

For your Ascendancy class, you will choose the Storm Sage (available after the first Labyrinth).

Notable Nodes:

  1. Conductive Palm: Your unarmed attacks have a 100% chance to Shock.
  2. Static Weaver: Enemies you kill explode, dealing 25% of their life as Lightning Damage. This is your primary clear mechanic.
  3. Ride the Lightning: Grants a movement speed buff for every shocked enemy nearby (up to 50%).

Weapon

  • Unarmed: This build works best unarmed to utilize Monk passives.
  • Gloves: Look for rare gloves with โ€œAdds # to # Lightning Damage to Attacksโ€.
  1. Thunder Fist
  2. Multistrike Support
  3. Added Lightning Damage
  4. Elemental Damage with Attacks
  5. Faster Attacks
  6. Lightning Penetration

Playstyle

Dash into a pack using Rolling Thunder, hit your Thunder Fist twice, and watch the Static Weaver explosions chain across the screen. It is fast, visually satisfying, and cheap to gear.
