Knight Online Carnac Zone Farming Guide
Carnac Zone (CZ) — also known as Ronark Land in some versions and server localizations — is the central contested zone in Knight Online. The two factions, El Morad (Humans) and Karus (Orcs), share access to CZ, creating a constant mix of PvE monster farming and factional PvP. CZ is the most important zone for mid-to-late game progression.
What Is Carnac Zone?
Carnac Zone is a large open PvP/PvE zone accessible to both factions simultaneously. Key features:
- Both factions can enter at the same time — expect to encounter enemies
- Powerful monsters spawn throughout the zone, providing good drops and experience
- National Points (NP) are earned by killing enemy-faction players here
- The zone contains multiple sub-areas with different monster types and difficulty levels
CZ is most populated during prime server hours when both factions actively contest it. Farming here is more dangerous but more rewarding than grinding in faction-specific zones.
Getting Into Carnac Zone
Access CZ through the portal in your faction’s main city:
- El Morad Castle → Moradon → CZ Portal
- Karus (Oremus/DK Square) → CZ Portal
Characters can enter CZ at any level but are at extreme risk below level 55. The practical entry level for safe farming is around level 55–65, when you can survive ambushes and fight back.
CZ Monster Zones and Farming Spots
CZ is divided into areas that are commonly referred to by community names (stair areas, bowls, hills, etc.):
Near the CZ Entrance (Stairs Area)
- Lower-level monsters near each faction’s CZ entry point
- Safer than the middle of the map; opponents must push deeper to reach you
- Good for newer CZ farmers learning the zone
- Monster examples: Werewolves, Lycans (level 55–70 equivalents)
Middle of CZ (Contested Area)
- The most contested part of the map — both factions fight over these spots
- Stronger monster varieties
- Best drops are here, but highest PvP risk
- Players with high NP gain (aggressive killers) frequently patrol this area
Boss Monster Spawns
CZ contains several named or high-value boss monsters:
- Harpy Queen / Harpy area — Popular farming location; moderate difficulty, good drop rate
- Isiloon — Major CZ boss; extremely powerful; requires a party; drops some of the best equipment in classic Knight Online
- Deva and other high-tier named mobs — Strong monsters that drop valuable equipment
Isiloon in particular is a server-wide event when it spawns — large parties from both factions compete to tag and kill it.
What to Farm in CZ
Experience (XP)
CZ monsters provide excellent experience for characters in the 55–80 level range. The combination of high-level mobs and the risk factor (PvP presence) that keeps other players away from some spots makes XP per hour comparable to or better than dedicated grinding zones.
Item Drops
CZ monsters drop:
- Weapons and armor (D/C grade or higher depending on monster level)
- Upgrade materials — NOX scrolls, upgrade stones
- Gold (Noah) — standard currency
- Gem drops — some CZ mobs drop gemstones used in crafting
- Boss-exclusive equipment — Isiloon and major bosses drop unique weapons and armor not available elsewhere
National Points (NP)
Killing enemy players in CZ earns National Points. NP is used for:
- Advancing your National Point rank (Commander, Knight, General, etc.)
- Purchasing NP shop items — special equipment and titles available only for NP
- Personal and clan prestige rankings
High NP players get better NP shop access and server recognition.
PvP in CZ: What to Expect
CZ PvP is flagrant — all enemy faction players can attack you on sight. Expect:
- Surprise ambushes from enemy rogues (Assassins who use stealth)
- Group ganks from parties hunting solo farmers
- Raids — organised parties sweeping zones and killing everyone
Surviving CZ PvP
- Know escape routes — CZ has safe zones near portals; retreat when overwhelmed
- Travel with guildmates — Solo farming in contested zones is risky
- Keep HP potions stocked — mandatory for extended CZ sessions
- Use the terrain — hills and obstacles can break line of sight from archers and mages
- Watch party chat — guildmates can alert you to enemy parties moving through the zone
Tips for Efficient CZ Farming
- Farm during off-peak hours for safer PvE — early morning on your server has fewer enemy players
- Target specific mobs for specific drops — know what each monster tier drops before committing to a spot
- Avoid solo farming contested boss areas — Harpy and Isiloon areas need groups to hold
- Carry town scrolls — escape immediately if overwhelmed rather than losing your drops on death
- Join a CZ farming party — groups are more efficient and safer; most guilds organise CZ runs during peak hours
- Check NP rankings — knowing which enemies have the highest NP tells you who the most dangerous PvP threats are
