Dune: Awakening - Imperial Testing Stations: Hard Mode Solo Guide
The latest Dune: Awakening patch introduced Hard Mode versions of the Imperial Testing Stations, adding significant rewards like high-tier schematics but also brutal difficulty.
While designed for 3-player squads, soloing them is possible with the right preparation and stealth tactics.
Loadout Requirements
You cannot brute-force your way through alone.
- Weapon: Trooper Rifle (Silence Mod) + Lasgun (Heavy Damage).
- Suit: Desert Suit Mk. III (Stealth Upgrades).
- Consumables: Water Flasks (High Quality) and ** Spice Coffee** (Stamina Buff).
Room Tactics (Solo specific)
Room 1: The Scanner Hall
- Objective: Eliminate 3 Scanners before the alarm trips.
- Tactic: Crouch-walk along the upper pipes. Use the Silenced Rifle to pick them off one by one. If you alert one, fail the stealth check and restart the room (it’s faster than fighting the reinforcements).
Room 2: The Arena (Wave Defense)
- Objective: Survive 3 waves of Cyborg reinforcements.
- Tactic: Do not fight in the open. Camp the Supply Crate corner (North-East). The AI funnels through a choke point here, allowing you to use Grenades effectively.
Boss: The Centurion (Hard Mode)
- Weakness: The Heat Vents on his back.
- Strategy: Wait for him to charge. Dodge sideways at the last second, causing him to crash into a wall. While stunned, unload your Lasgun into the vents.
- Warning: At 30% HP, he enrages. Use your Sand Compactor ability (if specced) or kiting to finish him off.
Rewards
- Imperial Schematics (Chance): High-tier weapon blueprints.
- Hard Mode Tokens: Exchange for cosmetic armor at the faction vendor.
