How to Start Landsraad Missions in Chapter 3: Mastering Faction Rep
The political landscape of Arrakis just got a lot more complicated—and profitable. With the Raiders of the Broken Lands update, Landsraad Missions are now live, offering a structured way to align with the Great Houses and earn exclusive faction rewards.
If you’re tired of scraping by as a scavenger and want access to high-tier Guild contracts and House-specific blueprints, you need to start playing the game of politics. Here is how to unlock these missions and what you stand to gain.
Unlock Steps: Finding the Envoy
These missions aren’t listed on your standard job board. You need to prove you are worth the Landsraad’s time.
- Travel to the CHOAM Exchange: Head to the main trading hub. The layout has changed slightly in Chapter 3.
- Locate the Faction Envoy: Look for the new NPC, Envoy Kaelen, located on the upper terrace overlooking the trading floor. He is flanked by two Imperial Guards.
- The “Politics of Spice” Quest: Kaelen will not trust you immediately. complete his introductory quest, Politics of Spice, which requires you to deliver a shipment of refined spice (approx. 500g) without being intercepted.
- Pledge Allegiance (Temporary): Once complete, you will gain the “Landsraad Contractor” license. You can now accept missions from the dedicated terminals next to the Envoy.
Mission Types
Landsraad missions vary based on which Faction (House Atreides, House Harkonnen, or the Smugglers) you choose to support for that contract.
- Espionage (Stealth):
- Objective: Infiltrate a rival faction’s outpost and plant listening devices or steal data drives.
- Risk: High. Getting caught lowers rep with the target faction significantly.
- Sabotage (Combat/Explosive):
- Objective: Destroy shielded stockpiles or disable Harvesters in contested zones.
- Reward: Bonus solaris for every unit of equipment destroyed.
- Diplomatic Escort (Defense):
- Objective: Protect a VIP transport from point A to point B while under attack by endless waves of raiders.
Rewards: Why Grind Rep?
Reputation is the new currency. The CHOAM currency (Solaris) buys basic gear, but Faction Rep buys power.
- House Atreides: Unlocks the “Hawk-Eye” Surveillance Drone and defensive shield schematics. Focuses on support and intel.
- House Harkonnen: Grants access to the “Brute” Heavy Repeater and offensive stims. Focuses on raw firepower and suppression.
- Smugglers: Unlocks stealth field generators and faster Ornithopter engines.
Tips for Success & Factuality Check
- Fact Check: Remember, you unlock these at the CHOAM Exchange via the Faction Envoy. Don’t wander the deep desert looking for a quest marker; go to the hub.
- Reputation Balancing: You can play both sides, but eventually, your reputation will lock you out of the opposing faction’s high-tier missions. Choose your permanent allegiance carefully once you hit “Trusted” status.
- Squad Up: Diplomatic Escort missions are nearly impossible solo due to the VIP AI’s tendency to wander into fire. Bring a friend with a healing drone.
The Landsraad is watching, sleeper. Make your choice, and make it count.
