Destiny 2: Frontiers has launched, taking Guardians beyond the solar system, but some loose ends remain back home. The new Exotic Quest, “The Spider’s Debt,” rewards players with the Kell’s Vengeance, a powerful Void Pulse Rifle that synergizes perfectly with Void 3.0 builds.
This guide covers the key steps to obtaining this weapon, including the return to the reprised Tangled Shore.
Weapon Stats: Kell’s Vengeance
- Type: Pulse Rifle
- Element: Void
- Intrinsic Perk: Spider’s Bite - Precision hits attach sticky void web mines. Reloading detonates all attached mines, suppressing targets.
Step 1: Catalyst for a Deal
To start the quest, visit Drifter in the Annex. He will mention that Spider has called in a favor and hand you the quest item “Marked Ether Tank.”
Step 2: Collecting Ether Casings (Tangled Shore Reprised)
The Tangled Shore has returned in a limited capacity as a “Memory Node” in the Legends tab. You must enter the Tangled Shore Patrol Zone (Legendary).
- Objective: Collect 50 Ether Casings.
- Farm Location: The best place to farm these is the Soriks’s Cut Lost Sector.
- Drop Rate:
- Red Bar Fallen: Low chance (1 casing)
- Orange Bar Fallen: Medium chance (3 casings)
- Bosses/Champions: Guaranteed (10 casings)
Tip: Equip a Void subclass. Kills with Void abilities have a higher chance to generate Casings.
Step 3: The Spider’s Debt
Once you have the casings, a new mission unlocks on the map: “The Black Market.”
Final Boss: Siviks, Reborn
The final mission takes you deep into a Fallen Ketch where you encounter Siviks, Reborn. Siviks has been resurrected with SIVA technology (a teaser for future content?).
Boss Mechanics
- Shield: Siviks has an impenetrable Void shield.
- Web Mines: He throws mines similar to the actual exotic weapon. Shoot them before they detonate to create a damage pool.
- Damage Phase: You must kill the SIVA Servitors that spawn to drop his shield. Once the shield is down, you have 30 seconds of DPS.
Upon defeating Siviks, he will drop the Kell’s Vengeance directly. Take it to Banshee-44 in the Tower to unlock its catalyst slot.
Eyes up, Guardian. The frontier awaits, but old debts must be paid first.
