Prismatic is Destiny 2’s newest subclass, combining Light and Darkness abilities into a single versatile kit. Unlocking all Prismatic Fragments is essential for building optimal Prismatic loadouts. There are 22 Fragments total, divided into starter, campaign, and discoverable categories. This guide covers every fragment, what it does, and exactly where to find it.

Starter Prismatic Fragments

These 6 fragments are unlocked automatically when you first access Prismatic during The Final Shape campaign. They form the foundation of every Prismatic build.

Facet of Ruin

Effect: Increases the size and damage of Stasis crystal shatter burst and Solar ignition area of effect. +10 Mobility. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Facet of Courage

Effect: Arc, Solar, and Void abilities deal increased damage to targets afflicted with Darkness debuffs. +10 Discipline. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Facet of Hope

Effect: While you have an elemental buff, your class ability regenerates more quickly. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Facet of Protection

Effect: While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased. +10 Strength. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Facet of Purpose

Effect: Picking up an Orb of Power grants Amplified, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Overshield based on your equipped Super’s damage type. -10 Recovery. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Facet of Dawn

Effect: Powered melee hits against targets make you radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies radiant. -10 Strength. How to Unlock: Automatic upon unlocking Prismatic.

Campaign Prismatic Fragments

These 3 fragments are unlocked through The Final Shape campaign missions.

Facet of Blessing

Effect: Melee final blows start health regeneration. While transcendent, melee final blows start health regeneration for you and nearby allies. How to Unlock: Found during The Final Shape campaign story progression.

Facet of Balance

Effect: Rapidly defeating targets with Light damage grants melee energy. Rapidly defeating targets with Darkness damage grants grenade energy. How to Unlock: Found during The Final Shape campaign story progression.

Facet of Bravery

Effect: Defeating targets with grenade final blows grants Volatile Rounds to Void weapons. Defeating targets with powered melee final blows grants Unraveling Rounds to Strand weapons. How to Unlock: Located in the Ascent mission. Climb the mountain at the start until you find a plane wreckage. Look for the nose of the wrecked plane instead of going directly through. The chest containing Facet of Bravery is in the wreckage nearby.

Facet of Devotion

Effect: Defeating targets afflicted with Stasis or Strand debuffs grants bonus Light Transcendence energy. +10 Strength. How to Unlock: Found in the Dissent mission. During the escape sequence, enter the room with all the pillars and continue dead ahead. Behind a pillar near the back wall, you will find a chest containing Facet of Devotion.

Facet of Sacrifice

Effect: While you have an Arc, Solar, or Void buff, ability final blows grant bonus Darkness Transcendence energy. +10 Discipline. How to Unlock: Found in the Iconoclasm mission. Near the War Beast statue, instead of heading right to the final area, take a left into a dark room. Look up to the right for a light you can see. Jump through the hole in the wall to find the Facet of Sacrifice chest.

Discoverable Prismatic Fragments

These 13 fragments are hidden throughout The Pale Heart patrol zone. You must find and complete specific activities or puzzles to unlock them.

Facet of Command

Effect: Freezing or suppressing a target reloads your equipped weapons and increases weapon stability, aim assist, and airborne effectiveness. Defeating frozen or suppressed targets creates a Stasis Shard or Void Breach. Location: The Divide - Progress through the area until you find the Prismatic Chest. Jump through one of the holes in the wall to summon a Scorch Cannon. Use the elemental orbs from ice clusters to charge the power machines and unlock the Fragment.

Facet of Awakening

Effect: Rapidly defeating targets with Light or Darkness damage or Super final blows generates an elemental pickup of the matching damage type. +10 Resilience. Location: Obtained through the Memory: Refractions of Light consumable. Collect vestiges from the six Cyst missions available from Micah-10. The Fragment is found among tree branches in The Refraction.

Facet of Solitude

Effect: Landing rapid precision hits emits a severing blast from the target. While transcendent, the severing blast is bigger. Location: Collect five rare versions of Darkness memories. Memory: Impassive Darkness brings you to Facet of Solitude, found in the north-east corner of The Impasse near a ledge.

Facet of Defiance

Effect: Finishers create a detonation that either jolts, scorches, slows, severs, or makes targets volatile based on your equipped Super’s damage type. +10 Recovery. Location: The Transgression - Find the statue of an impaled man. Turn left into the cave and navigate through the poisoned cave. Interact with the pyramid item, destroy the eyes to defeat shielded enemies, then defeat the tormentor boss and use the key to open the Prismatic Chest.

Facet of Dominance

Effect: Void grenades weaken targets, and Arc grenades jolt targets. -10 Discipline. Location: Obtained through Memory: Seclusion. Head to the Seclusion and find Zavala’s old house. The chest can be found above the waterfall behind his house.

Facet of Mending

Effect: Grenade final blows cure you. Transcendence grenade final blows increase the strength of the effect. Location: Enter the combat area of The Lost City and keep moving to the Outskirts zone. Locate four lost ghosts. Once all are found, defeat the boss that spawns and activate the plate to unlock the Prismatic Chest.

Facet of Grace

Effect: Defeating targets with Kinetic weapons grants bonus Transcendence energy. Defeating targets with your Super grants you and nearby allies bonus Transcendence energy. -10 Resilience. Location: Head past Micah-10 into the combat zone of The Lost City. Make a right after entering the courtyard. Defeat the Gordian Weaver to spawn omens. Defeat these enemies throughout the courtyard to unlock Facet of Grace.

Facet of Justice

Effect: While Transcendent, your ability final blows explode. +10 Intellect. Location: The Refraction - Find the Awoken, Dreaming City-style room with crystals. Dunk all three heavy Solar Crystals in the correct spots to spawn a boss. Defeat the boss to receive a key that opens the Prismatic Chest.

Facet of Honor

Effect: Collecting an elemental pickup or destroying a Tangle grants Transcendence energy of the same type. +10 Strength. Location: Obtained through Memory: Divisive Darkness. Head to the Divide towards the large circle on your map. Reach the peak of the wall and descend the icy cliff that overlooks a tower to find the Fragment.

Facet of Generosity

Effect: Defeating targets while Transcendent creates Orbs of Power for your allies. Location: Obtained through Memory: Blooming of Light. In the Blooming area, find the massive tree in the middle and search around the base of the tree for the Fragment.

Fragments Not Yet Verified

Several additional Fragments may exist that were not fully documented at the time of writing. Check the Pale Heart patrol zone thoroughly, including all Cyst missions and Memory quests from Micah-10, to ensure you have collected every available Fragment.

How to Use Prismatic Fragments

Once unlocked, Prismatic Fragments are equipped in your Prismatic subclass loadout. You can equip multiple Fragments simultaneously, each providing a unique effect. Popular combinations include:

• Facet of Purpose + Facet of Dawn - Orb pickup and melee radiant for constant damage buffs
• Facet of Balance + Facet of Grace - Transcendence energy generation for uptime
• Facet of Protection + Facet of Hope - Survivability with class ability spam
• Facet of Bravery + Facet of Dominance - Volatile and weaken effects for Void builds
