The Sovereign Weapon (often called the Fallen God Weapon) is the pinnacle of gear progression in Black Desert Online. Crafting this beast requires not only a PEN Blackstar weapon but also a checklist of materials that will test your patience and silver reserves.

Here is the exact list of items required to forge your new Mainhand.

Core Requirement: The Vessel

You cannot even begin this process without one of the following:

  1. PEN Blackstar Mainhand Weapon (Ideally one you have been using).
  2. PEN Godr-Ayed Mainhand Weapon (Less efficient to swap, but possible).

The Flame: Flame of the Sovereign

This is the bottleneck. The Flame of the Sovereign is the weapon equivalent to the Flame of Despair/Frost.

  • Source: It is crafted by heating 100x Sparks of the Sovereign.
  • Where to Grind:
    • Dehkia’s Lantern: Hystria Ruins (High Drop Rate but brutal gear requirement: 320 AP / 420 DP).
    • Land of the High Priestess: New specialized grind spot.
  • Boss Summon: The weekly scroll boss Askea, the Sovereign of Chaos has a low chance to drop the full completed Flame directly.

Crafting Materials List

Bring these to the Black Spirit or the specific NPC in Grána/O’draxxia (depending on weapon type):

  • 1x PEN Blackstar Weapon
  • 1x Flame of the Sovereign
  • 10x Magical Shards (Melt Black Magic Crystals).
  • 100x Cron Stones (This is just for the initial exchange quest).

Enhancement Strategy

Once crafted, your Sovereign weapon starts at Base. Enhancing it follows the Fallen God armor system (Base -> Pri -> Duo -> Tri -> Tet -> Pen).

  • Fail Stacks:
    • Pri (Desperate): Use a 100+ Stack.
    • Duo (Distorted): Use a 150+ Stack.
    • Tri (Silent): Use a 200+ Stack. CRITICAL WARNING: Failed attempts degrade the enhancement level.
  • Cron Stones:
    • Do NOT Cron Pri attempts. Just recover durability with Memory Fragments.
    • Cron Duo -> Tri attempts heavily. Failing here without Crons drops you back to Pri, costing billions in stack value.
    • Cost: Expect to burn ~2,500 Crons per attempt at higher tiers.

Prepare your wallet. The Sovereign weapon is a marathon, not a sprint. Focus on banking your Sparks of the Sovereign from daily Dehkia grinds first before worrying about the enhancement costs.
