Beyond catching and Twining sits Aniimo’s real depth: a progression stack of Potential → Training → Resonance → Awakening → Prismana that beta veterans say defines the entire endgame. This guide explains each layer, what changed from beta based on dev feedback, and how to invest your resources without waste.

Potential: The Quality of Every Catch

Every wild Aniimo rolls a Potential rating (up to 9/9 or 10/10). Higher Potential = better base stats across HP, ATK, BREAK, P.DEF, M.DEF, and REGEN.

  • 10/10 = Perfect Potential — the chase stat. Perfect wild spawns got rate increases at launch (both 9/9 and 10/10 brackets)
  • Guaranteed Perfect sources: Sparkling Cube catches, Prismana eggs, Umbral spawns, season Handbook eggs
  • Don’t over-invest in low-Potential Aniimo early — training materials are finite; a 7/7 you love is fine for the story, but save premium resources for 9+ or Perfect catches

Evolution Stages: Lumin → Gamma → Nova

Every line evolves through three stages, and launch may include branching Nova forms (alternate final evolutions with different roles):

  • Lumin — base form, as caught
  • Gamma — mid evolution; needs levels + evolution materials
  • Nova — final form; check the Aniilog preview for branches before committing rare materials
  • Evolution also unlocks new skills and (sometimes) a role shift — a DPS-line Aniimo can branch into Support at Nova

Training (Simplified at Launch)

The beta’s most hated grind is gone:

  • Old system: Carried Items with random rune slots + a separate rune system — heavy RNG layering on every unit
  • Launch system: Carried Items simplified, rune system removed entirely
  • Capafruit effects now auto-transfer during inheritance — breeding lines keeps your fruit investments
  • Legendary Star Dust output increased — the core training currency flows faster

What this means for you: train your main team freely. The systems that punished experimentation are gone.

Capability Awakening

The mid-game power gate:

  • Resettable below Lv.60 with full item refunds — experiment freely until 60
  • Capability caps unlock gradually with level + Resonance star rank — power is time-gated by investment depth, not just materials
  • Plan your Awakening around your Twine main first — your most-Twined Aniimo gets the most combat hours, so it gets the first Awakening budget

Resonance Star Ranks

Duplicates and investment feed a creature’s Resonance star rank, which:

  • Raises capability caps (see above)
  • Unlocks stat thresholds and (per season rules) exclusive spawn access
  • Stacks with — but doesn’t replace — Potential. A 10/10 Potential Aniimo with high Resonance is the endgame unit; one without the other is a project

Prismana, Umbral & Legendary Aniimo

Prismana

Premium variants with exclusive coloration, flat stat advantages, and self-sustaining Prismana Flow (no early-game energy decay). Sources: free Junior Wayfarer pick, season Handbook eggs, RV dispatch missions, lucky-strike events.

  • Lucky strike mechanic at launch: item rewards + area Prismatic Energy + a chance to trigger Prismana Flow
  • Offering quality no longer affects Wild Surge quality — don’t over-donate

Umbral

Wild-Surge spawns with Perfect Potential and distinct coloration — also appearing as random open-world spawns at launch. If the surge alert fires, drop what you’re doing: Umbrals are free Perfects.

Legendaries (Irisalis and on)

Redesigned after beta backlash. The old loop (repeated ball throws + entry cost + luck) is gone:

  1. Collect legendary tokens via exploration and story
  2. Craft a personal Legendary Aniipod
  3. Enter a one-time exclusive map encounter
  4. Throw the pod to seal the bond

This is the template for all future Legendaries — tokens first, then the encounter. Start token collection early; don’t wait for endgame.

Resource Priority (What to Spend First)

  1. Awakening materials → Twine main (it fights the most)
  2. Legendary Star Dust → 9+ Potential units only
  3. Capafruit → lines you’re inheriting (auto-transfer makes this safe)
  4. Premium pods → Umbral/surge targets and Legendary encounters
  5. Save one Sparkling Cube for your first true main (the Aniimo you’ll Twine for 50+ hours)

FAQ

What is Perfect Potential in Aniimo? A 10/10 Potential rating — maximum base stats. Guaranteed from Sparkling Cubes, Prismana/Umbral sources; rare in the wild.

Should I train low-Potential Aniimo? For story progression, fine. For premium materials, wait for 9/9 or better.

What changed about training from the beta? Carried Items simplified, rune system removed, Capafruit auto-transfers on inheritance, more Legendary Star Dust. Training is now experimentation-friendly.

What is Resonance star rank? Duplicate/investment-driven progression that raises capability caps and unlocks thresholds alongside level.

How do I get Prismana Aniimo? Free Junior Wayfarer pick, seasonal Handbook eggs, RV dispatches, lucky strikes, and Wild Surges. Umbral variants spawn free in surges and the open world.

How do Legendary catches work now? Tokens via exploration/story → craft a Legendary Aniipod → one-time exclusive encounter → seal the bond. No more repeated-throw gambling.
