Announced by Digital Extremes, this is a sequel to the original Jade Shadows quest and introduces a unique mechanic: a single Warframe with two playable modes, each with completely different playstyles.

Why This Is Unusual

Digital Extremes Community Director Megan Everett explained the design:

“Our character design team really pushed themselves to the limit with creating two playable Warframes in one. These two conflicted entities fighting for survival are bumping each other out of the player’s hands, eternally at war, while the story explores their complicated relationship with each other. The player has just as important a role, too; their choices in the first Jade Shadows Quest are reflected throughout scenes of this new Quest. This is the first time we’ve tried a ‘sequel’ Quest and a two-in-one character this way.”

This is the first time Warframe has shipped a warframe that is explicitly two modes of the same character with distinct visual identities and ability sets tied to a narrative conflict.

Story Connection to the Original Jade Shadows Quest

Constellations is a sequel quest — your choices in the original Jade Shadows quest carry forward into the new one. If you haven’t played the original Jade Shadows quest, now is the time to complete it before June 17.

New Content: Railjack Uranus Missions

Jade Shadows: Constellations adds new Railjack missions around Uranus. Railjack is Warframe’s large-scale space combat mode where players crew a ship and complete missions in open-space environments.

New Prime: Styanax Prime

Styanax Prime becomes available with this update. Styanax is a Spartan warrior-themed Warframe with crowd control and team-support abilities. The Prime version includes upgraded stats and new Reactor/Catalyst slots for modding.
