Project: Gorgon: Fairy Race Unlock Guide

In true Project: Gorgon fashion, unlocking the Fairy race is not a simple purchase—it is a hidden quest chain involving gardening, obscure lore, and a lot of running.

Prerequisites

  • Gardening Skill: Level 25+.
  • Druid: Unlocked (doesn’t need to be leveled, just unlocked).
  • Zone: Ilmari Desert.

Step 1: Find the Fae Ring

Travel to Ilmari. In the far North-West corner, there is a circle of white mushrooms.

  • Stand in the center.
  • Dance (Type /dance).
  • Wait 1 minute. A tiny NPC, “Pippin,” will appear.

Step 2: The Offering

Pippin demands a “Sweet feast.” You must trade him:

  1. 5x Honey.
  2. 1x Grape Jam.
  3. 1x Moon Flower (Grown via Gardening at night).

Step 3: The Binding

Pippin gives you a Fae Soulstone.

  • You must die. Yes, really.
  • Die to a “Cursed Fairy” mob in the Fae Realm dungeon (Pippin opens the portal).
  • When you die with the Soulstone in your inventory, you get a prompt: “Reincarnate as Fae?”

Racial Penalties & Bonuses

Bonuses:

  • Flight: You can fly (levitate) by consuming Power.
  • Small Hitbox: Harder to hit in PvP.

Penalties:

  • Iron Vulnerability: You take +50% damage from Metal weapons.
  • Cannot wear Heavy Armor.
  • Carry Capacity: Reduced by 20 inventory slots.

Note: Changing to Fairy is semi-permanent. Reverting requires a “Potion of Mortality” which costs 50,000 Councils.
