Palia has two distinct progression currencies tied to its cozy life-simulation gameplay: Focus and Renown. Both are earned through everyday activities and spent on things that advance your homestead and community standing. Understanding the difference between them and how to generate each efficiently saves significant time as you progress through the game.

What Is Focus?

Focus is an energy-like resource in Palia that boosts the experience points you earn from skills. When you have Focus remaining and you perform skill activities — fishing, farming, cooking, bug catching, hunting, and more — you earn experience at an increased rate.

Think of Focus as a multiplier for your skill leveling speed. Running low on Focus means slower skill progression, so managing it is important if you want to reach high skill levels quickly.

Cooking for Focus Restoration
