Palia: Elderwood Flow Tree Grove Locations
With the recent Elderwood update in Palia, flowing purple trees are now easier to farm than ever—if you know where to look. While Bahari Bay groves are still active, the density in the Elderwood makes it the premier spot for late-game woodcutting.
Here are the specific landmarks to check at midnight (Palia time) for grove spawns.
Spawn Logic
Palia’s Flow Tree Groves utilize a “midnight spawn” mechanic. Every in-game day at 12:00 AM, a cluster of flow trees appears in one of several set locations within the zone.
- Tip: Listen for the telltale magical chime sound effect when the clock strikes midnight. The volume indicates proximity.
Location 1: North of the Stables
This is the most common spawn and easiest to access for new players entering the zone.
- Landmark: Elderwood Central Stables.
- Direction: Head directly North into the clearing. Look for the purple glow amidst the regular birch trees.
Location 2: Whispering Falls
A scenic but often missed location due to the verticality.
- Landmark: Whispering Falls.
- Direction: The grove spawns at the very base of the waterfall, often hidden by mist. Glide down from the “Overlook Point” to spot it quickly.
Location 3: Temple Entrance Cliffs
Reserved for players with advanced gliding or climbing stamina.
- Landmark: Temple of Roots Entrance.
- Direction: Scale the cliffs to the East of the main temple gate. The grove spawns on a high plateau overlooking the valley.
Community Etiquette
Remember the golden rule of Palia: Call out the location in chat! Flow trees regenerate health and are designed for group chopping. Don’t try to solo a large grove; you will likely run out of axe durability before felling a single tree.
- Spot a Grove: Type “[Location] Grove!” in chat.
- Wait: Most players will “tap” each tree once to tag the loot and wait for the group to assemble.
- Chop Together: Once everyone is ready (usually 2-3 mins past midnight), chop down the trees simultaneously for maximum efficiency.
