Eterspire crossed half a million registered players on the back of its September 2025 Steam release and June 2026 full launch, and the most common question in its community channels hasn’t changed: how do I actually make gold? Our Eterspire beginner guide covers classes and combat; this guide focuses purely on the gold loop — what to farm, what to sell, and the chest-timing trick most players learn too late.

How the Eterspire Economy Works

Three facts shape every gold-making decision:

  1. Trading is player-driven — high-demand items (popular gear tiers, consumables) move fast, and prices swing with patch cycles.
  2. Gear upgrades consume Soul Fragments, making fragment sources and fragment-sink items reliable market categories.
  3. The level cap is 160, and endgame players fund cosmetics and upgrades — which means max-level players buy what low-and-mid-level players farm.

That third point is the whole strategy: you don’t get rich at level 160. You get rich by farming what the 160s need, at whatever level you happen to be.

The Treasure Chest Strategy (The One Everyone Learns Too Late)

The most repeated piece of Eterspire advice from veterans: save unopened treasure chests until you’re at or near max level.

  • Treasure chests scale their contents to context, and opening them early yields low-value loot you’ll vendor.
  • Stored chests opened at high level pay out meaningfully better.
  • Chests accumulate naturally from exploration and hunt quests — bank them instead of popping them on sight.

If you’ve been opening chests since level 20, stop now. Bank the rest.

Hunt Quests: The Compound Interest of Eterspire

Hunt quests are the backbone of progression and income combined:

  • Every hunt completed pays gold plus experience, and the quest chains repeat at higher tiers as you unlock zones.
  • The community consensus (and the wiki’s quick leveling math) is that grinding common monsters for hunt completion is more XP-efficient than farming Remnants — Remnants are the game’s elite/challenge targets, and they pay worse per hour of effort.
  • Treat hunt completion as your default activity: whenever you’re between goals, open the hunt list and clear the nearest available tier.

Hunt rewards compound with the next tip.

Party Play: The 30% XP Multiplier

Joining a party grants a 30% bonus XP while hunting. This matters for gold-making indirectly — faster levels mean faster access to higher-tier hunt chains and better farming zones, and party hunts also split farm time across more kills per hour.

Practical setup: join parties for hunt grinding, then break off to farm solo for drops when your bag is empty. Party bonus + drop farming is the core rhythm of an efficient Eterspire session.

Money Making Methods by Level Range

Early Levels (1–40)

  • Hunt quests exclusively — they’re the only meaningful income, and they double as leveling.
  • Vendor drops ruthlessly; nothing at this tier has trade value worth listing.
  • Do NOT open chests (see above). Bank everything.

Mid Levels (40–100)

  • Mid-tier gear drops become tradeable goods. Learn which weapon/armor types the current player wave is upgrading into — anything approaching the popular build requirements sells.
  • Consumables trade consistently. Potions and food never stop moving because every active player burns through them.
  • Soul Fragment farming — fragments feed gear upgrades, so fragment drops and fragment-relevant items hold steady value. Sell surplus rather than hoarding unless you’re about to upgrade yourself.

High Levels (100–160)

  • Endgame gear and near-endgame gear is the premium market. Player demand concentrates on whatever the level 160 meta uses, and upgrades sell for the biggest margins.
  • Cosmetic and luxury items — max-level players with banked gold spend on appearance; rare cosmetics and auras flip well.
  • Crafted high-tier consumables — the 160 crowd buys sustain in bulk for endgame hunts.

Trading Tips That Actually Matter

  1. Watch patch cycles. When an update shifts the meta or adds gear tiers, prices move fast — stock the outgoing items cheaply only if they retain grind value, and sell into the demand spike for new tiers.
  2. Volume beats margin at low level. Ten fast copper-tier flips out-earn one slow high-margin gamble while you’re learning the market.
  3. Don’t undersell in bulk. New players dump stacks at half value; buying those stacks and relisting at market rate is the oldest and most reliable flip in the game.
  4. Cross-play matters. Eterspire runs on iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS with full crossplay — the mobile player base skews casual and price-insensitive on convenience items. That’s a permanent demand floor.

What Doesn’t Work

  • Farming Remnants for gold — worse XP and less reliable drops than monster grinding for hunts.
  • Opening chests early (covered, but it bears repeating — it’s the classic mistake).
  • Hoarding everything “just in case.” Eterspire’s economy moves; most hoarded mid-tier items devalue faster than they appreciate. Liquidate, upgrade, re-farm.

A Sample Daily Loop

  1. Bank any chests from yesterday (don’t open).
  2. Join a party, clear the highest available hunt tier (~30–45 min).
  3. Sell the drops into whatever category is moving that day.
  4. Buy any underpriced dumps you spot while trading.
  5. If time remains, grind your main damage skill on dense monster camps with party bonus active.

That loop funds gear upgrades through every level band and builds the chest bank that pays out at 160.

Eterspire is quiet, cross-platform, and genuinely beginner-friendly — and unlike most indies, its economy has enough depth to reward market play. Level smart, bank your chests, and sell to the whales.
