Eterspire Mid-2026 Roadmap: Guilds, Fishing Rework, and New Endgame Content
Last Verified: May 2026
Stonehollow Workshop, the developer behind the indie MMORPG Eterspire, has officially revealed the mid-2026 roadmap covering updates planned for June, July, and August. This is one of the most content-dense roadmaps the game has released — featuring the long-awaited guild system, a complete fishing skill rework, new lifeskills, new endgame content, and full Steam Deck support.
The roadmap was shared directly by Manu from Stonehollow Workshop on r/MMORPG. Here is the full breakdown.
June 15: Fishing Rework
The Fishing skill is getting a full rework — not just a balance pass but a ground-up redesign. What is changing:
- Revamped progression system for the skill itself
- New fish types added to the game
- Improved rewards for fishing activities
- Better integration between Fishing and the main game’s progression loop
Critically, the developer confirmed that the Fishing rework will serve as the foundation for how future lifeskills are built. This means what they learn and implement with Fishing will directly shape the Woodcutting skill and whatever lifeskills come after.
June 29: Guilds
Guilds are the most-requested feature in Eterspire’s community — and they are finally arriving on June 29 with a solid initial feature set:
- Players can create, name, and manage guilds
- Cross-world guild chat is included from day one, meaning guild members across different servers can communicate in the same channel
- More guild features are expected to expand beyond the initial release
For a game that has had 500,000+ registered users without a formal guild system, this addition fundamentally changes how the social layer of Eterspire functions. Coordinating endgame content, recruiting, and organizing group content all become significantly easier once guilds launch.
See the Eterspire Beginner’s Guide for a full overview of the game if you are new.
New Endgame Content
The roadmap includes new co-op Trials for endgame players — described as featuring mechanics not used in any previous endgame challenges. Alongside the Trials:
- New best-in-slot gear will be added
- Endgame Hunts for players at the level cap, including an exclusive cosmetic cloak reward for completing the hunt progression
The Endgame Hunts system is specifically designed to give max-level players long-term goals to pursue beyond simply grinding existing content.
Daily Quests
A daily quest system is coming to Eterspire. The developer was explicit about the design philosophy here:
“The focus is on making dailies feel like a useful bonus to your normal progression, rather than a mandatory checklist or something that makes you feel behind for missing a day.”
In other words: they are optional bonus rewards, not a FOMO system. You complete them when it fits your session, and missing a day does not set you back.
Woodcutting Lifeskill
Woodcutting is being added as a new gathering lifeskill. Together with the Fishing rework, this is part of a larger push to make progression outside of combat more meaningful — expanding the horizontal layer of Eterspire beyond questing and mob grinding.
The long-term vision, as stated by the developer, is to build out a full ecosystem of lifeskills. Fishing and Woodcutting are the foundation.
Whisper Chat UI and Chat Improvements
A dedicated whisper interface is being added alongside general chat improvements. Previously, private messages in Eterspire could feel clunky. The new UI addresses this with a proper conversation-style interface.
Mob Sharing for Parties
Party members will gain the ability to share mob tags in their instance. This makes group leveling and farming significantly smoother — previously, only the player who tagged a mob could get credit. With mob sharing, party members can all contribute and receive drops from the same enemy.
Full Steam Deck Support
Eterspire is currently in the Steam Deck “Playable” category, but the developer is working toward the higher “Verified” status. This upgrade will also improve general controller support across the game on all platforms, not just Steam Deck.
Update Schedule
Stonehollow Workshop releases updates on the 14th and 28th of each month (adjusted when those dates fall on a Friday, holiday, or weekend). The Fishing Rework on June 15 and the Guild launch on June 29 align with this schedule.
The roadmap explicitly notes that dates can shift depending on development — but these are the committed targets for the summer quarter.
Final Thoughts
This is Eterspire’s most ambitious quarter yet. Guilds alone would be a major release for any live MMO. Adding the Fishing rework, Woodcutting, Daily Quests, new endgame Trials, and Steam Deck support on top of that is a significant content commitment from a small indie studio.
If you have been waiting for a reason to try Eterspire — or to return after a break — now is the time to download and get ready before the guild rush on June 29.
