WoW: How to Unlock Haranir Allied Race - ‘Roots of the World’ Quest Chain Guide

The long-awaited Haranir (Roots of the World elves) are finally playable in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Unlocking them requires completing a specific max-level campaign chapter and reaching Renown 4 with the Keepers of the Root.

Here is the step-by-step guide to adding them to your Warband.

Prerequisites

1. Level 80 Character: You must have finished the main Midnight campaign.
2. Achievement: “Guardian of the Deep Roots.”
3. Reputation: Renown 4 with “Keepers of the Root” (The new zone faction).

The Quest Chain: ‘Roots of the World’

The chain begins in the new capital city, Azj-Kahet.

Step 1: “A Whisper from the Deep”

• Start NPC: Alleria Windrunner (Embassy).
• Objective: Investigate the disturbance at the World Tree Root.
• Action: Defeat 10 Corrupted Keepers.

Step 2: “The Broken Vow”

• Location: The Rootlands (New Zone).
• Objective: Find the 3 specific Broken Vows scattered across the zone.
  1. Vow of Silence: Hidden in the Singing Caverns (Cave entrance: 45, 62).
  2. Vow of Growth: At the peak of the Giant’s Stem (Use a flying mount).
  3. Vow of Decay: In the swamp area, guarded by an elite.

Step 3: “Rebinding the Roots” (Scenario)

• Instance: Queue for the solo scenario.
• Boss: Corruption Avatar.
• Mechanic: You must cleanse the roots (Action Button) while kiting the boss. Do not stand in the purple puddles.

Final Unlock

Return to the Embassy in Stormwind or Orgrimmar to complete the final recruitment quest.

Tips

• This unlock is Warband-wide. Once done on one character, you can create a Haranir on any realm.
