V Rising Servants Guide 2026 — Best Servants, Missions and Gear
Servants are converted NPCs who gather resources, defend your castle, and provide passive income while you are offline or busy elsewhere. A well-managed servant system can eliminate the need for manual resource farming entirely.
Note: Verified as of July 2026. Check official patch notes for updates.

How to Get Servants
- Craft a Servant Coffin (requires planks, stone bricks, and blood essence)
- Craft Dominate Human ability (unlocked from a V Blood boss)
- Find a human NPC, reduce them to low HP without killing them
- Use Dominating Presence on them
- Lead the dominated NPC back to your Servant Coffin
- Wait for the conversion to complete (real-time, 1-2 hours depending on servant quality)
Best Servants by Blood Quality
Servants with higher blood quality have better stats and complete missions faster.
| Blood % | Quality | Mission Speed | Combat Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-24% | Frail | -20% | Very Low |
| 25-49% | Normal | 0% | Low |
| 50-74% | Strong | +10% | Medium |
| 75-89% | Superior | +20% | High |
| 90-100% | Pristine | +30% | Very High |
Target: 75%+ blood quality for all servants. Below 50% is barely worth the servant slot.
Best NPC Types to Convert
Each NPC class has a unique expertise that affects mission outcomes:
| NPC Type | Expertise | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Worker | +Resource yield | Gathering missions |
| Lightweaver | -Mission time | Speed-running missions |
| Rifleman/Hunter | +Hunting success | Animal resource missions |
| Knight/Paladin | +Combat success | High-difficulty missions |
| Cleric/Healer | +Survival | Risky missions where servants might die |
Best general-purpose servant: High-blood Lightweaver (fastest missions) or Worker (most resources per mission).
Servant Missions
Send servants on missions from the Servant Coffin interface. Mission duration ranges from 2 hours to 23 hours.
Mission types:
| Mission | Duration | Rewards | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short Hunt | 2 hours | Small resources | None |
| Gathering Run | 4-8 hours | Medium resources | Low |
| Expedition | 8-12 hours | Large resources, rare items | Medium |
| Grand Hunt | 16-23 hours | Massive resources, legendary items | High |
Optimal strategy: Run 8-12 hour Expeditions. They have the best reward-to-risk ratio. Short Hunts waste servant slots. Grand Hunts risk servant death.
Servant Death Risk
Servants can die on missions. The risk percentage is shown before sending them. Factors affecting risk:
- Servant gear level (higher = safer)
- Mission difficulty vs servant combat power
- Blood quality (higher = safer)
If a servant dies, you lose them permanently along with any gear they were wearing. Do not send poorly-geared servants on Grand Hunts.
Servant Gear
Equip servants with hand-me-down gear. It dramatically improves their combat power and mission success rate.
Gear priority:
- Weapon (most impactful — determines damage)
- Chest (most impactful — determines survivability)
- Accessories (less impactful but still help)
Do NOT put your best gear on servants. Use gear that is 1-2 tiers below your current level.
Castle Defence Servants
Servants not on missions patrol your castle and fight intruders during raids.
- Position servants near choke points and vaults
- Give them gear appropriate to the threats on your server
- On PvP servers, servants are your primary defence alongside traps
Summary
Convert NPCs with 75%+ blood quality. Prioritise Lightweavers and Workers. Send servants on 8-12 hour Expeditions. Gear them with hand-me-downs. Never send under-geared servants on Grand Hunts. Position patrolling servants near castle vaults for defence.
