OSRS Slayer Planner

Task size × kills/hour = minutes of task. Add kill XP and points — see what every assignment actually pays.

Defaults are sample mid-game numbers. Tune per task — kill rates swing hard with gear and shortcuts.

Task math decides slayer

Slayer pays in three currencies — XP, points, and gear upgrades bought with both — and the whole loop is arithmetic: a task of N kills at your real kills-per-hour takes N/kph hours and pays N × XP-per-kill. Because blockable tasks differ enormously (some monsters are 5× more XP/hour than others), smart slayers track real numbers per monster and block low-value assignments. This planner takes the four numbers that matter — task size, kills/hour, XP per kill, points per task — and does that arithmetic instantly.

Points, streaks and the block list

Reward points accrue per task (scaling by master) and jag at streak milestones — every 50th completed task in a streak pays a large bonus, so an unbroken streak is worth more per task than a stopped one. Crunch the planner with your points-per-task and current streak number and you can see when the next milestone lands, then spend points the standard way: unlock Slayer helm, block the worst monsters, extend the best. Slayer points are a budget; the planner shows receipts.

Using real rates instead of folklore

Kills per hour changes out from under you with every gear tier, unlock (Dwarf cannon, trident, slayer ring shortcuts) and level — so enter your measured rate, not guide folklore: kill 100 of a monster on one trip, note the minutes, and put the true rate in. Re-plan when your gear upgrades. The XP-per-kill field should count the task bonuses and condensable XP stack (cannon, salve amulet) so the total reflects your training spot, not the best-in-hallway theoretical rate.

Frequently asked questions

How are slayer points calculated?

You earn points per completed task — the rate scales by master tier (Turael gives 0, mid-tier masters roughly 4-10, higher masters more) and every 50th task in a streak pays a big bonus. Enter your actual points-per-task and streak to see totals.

Which tasks should I block?

Block monsters whose kills/hour × XP/kill is below your session average, and whose rewards (clues, shards, drops) you do not need. The planner gives you the per-task value numbers to compare on the same axis.

Does this include combat XP from magic bonuses?

Enter your effective XP per kill with whichever bonuses (salve amulet, cannon, slayer helm) apply to your setup — the tool multiplies task size by the number you give it.
