GW2 Legendary Planner
The legendary cost gates stack fast — list your precursor, Gifts and materials with values, and see the total gold before you commit.
What a legendary actually costs
Every legendary routes through the same gates: a precursor, the Gift of Mastery (map completion + more), the Gift of Fortune (mystic clovers and tier-7 materials), plus a second craft-and-soul core. List each row with your own gold value — precursor prices move with the Trading Post, clover value depends on how heavily you bank on luck — and the planner totals the list so the "it's expensive" folklore becomes an exact number.
Farm-weighting the bill
The farm-% column is the honest way to compare plans: mark how much of each ingredient you intend to farm yourself and the planner subtracts that share from the gold outlay (while reminding you it transfers to time instead of money). A 100% farmed Gift of Fortune is a weeks-long achievement; a 100% bought one is a fat TP receipt. Seeing both shapes side by side is how good plans get made.
Budget honesty
Enter your real liquid gold — and remember to hold back a margin for WvW gear, gear upgrades or an unannounced crafting ingredient shortage. The planner reports total cost, farm-forgiven cost, and remaining budget after the buy. Never plan to the exact coin; legendaries have a habit of finding one last ingredient.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the gold values come from?
You set them — check the Trading Post for the precursor and tier-7 mats, use your own valuation for farmed goods. The planner only calculates what you enter.
Are mystic clovers worth buying?
Clovers come from several guaranteed-drop boxes each year, which usually beats TP prices for long-horizon planners — but the math depends on your box access and patience. Value them in the planner with your own numbers.
Does map completion have a gold value?
It can — XP scrolls, map cost, or the time you would otherwise spend. Assign the row a gold-equivalent value or leave it at the cost you accept paying in time.
Is this affiliated with ArenaNet?
No. MMOKB is a fan tool and not affiliated with ArenaNet. Prices drift with the Trading Post — re-verify before big buys.
