EVE Online Industry Calculator
Any buildable item — Jita material costs at your ME, product sell price, and margin after broker and tax, with an AI verdict.
Prices: live ESI Jita orders · Blueprints: Fuzzwork. Enter an item name and click Calculate build — results appear below.
Build cost vs sell price, honestly computed
EVE manufacturing margins live in three variables most spreadsheets hide: the actual Jita material cost at your blueprint's research level, the product's lowest sell order (not the optimistic regional average), and the broker-plus-tax haircut on the way out. This calculator pulls all three live — blueprint materials from Fuzzwork, both price legs from ESI's public market feed — and shows the margin that remains after fees.
ME matters more than most builders think: a ME10 blueprint needs 10% fewer materials than ME0, which on mineral-heavy hulls is the entire margin. Facility bonuses, rigs and system cost indices are excluded (they vary by structure), so treat tight margins as losses and comfortable ones as buildable — the AI verdict reads the numbers that way, flagging single-material cost concentration and variance risk item by item.
Not everything with a blueprint should be built: faction, officer and deadspace modules have no manufacturing path and the tool says so instead of inventing numbers. For the mining side of the supply chain, see our alpha clone mining guide.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use the industry calculator?
Enter the exact in-game item name, your blueprint ME level, and broker/tax rates. The tool resolves the item via ESI, pulls the blueprint materials from Fuzzwork, prices everything at Jita sell orders, and computes the margin.
What does ME change?
Material Efficiency reduces waste: each ME level cuts material needs by 1% (ME10 = 10% fewer materials). T2 items need invention on top — this tool covers the manufacturing math for anything with a blueprint.
Where do the prices come from?
Live ESI market orders in The Forge region (Jita), cached for 30 minutes. Materials use lowest sell orders; the product uses lowest sell too, so the margin is conservative.
Is the industry calculator free?
Yes — completely free, no account required. A light bot-protection check and a daily usage cap keep the AI verdict free for everyone.
