Star Trek Online: Heritage Constitution Review

For the 16th Anniversary, Cryptic released the Heritage Constitution Class, a modernized T6 version of the original TOS Enterprise geometry but with 25th-century stats.

The Specs

  • Tier: 6
  • Faction: Federation (Cross-Faction capable)
  • Rank: Fleet Admiral
  • Hull Strength: 1.3 (Very high for a cruiser)
  • Shield Modifier: 1.1
  • Weapons: 5 Fore, 3 Aft.

The Trait: “Five Year Mission”

While this trait is slotted, completing a Bridge Officer ability grants a stack of Exploration.

  • At 10 stacks, your next Beam Overload or Torpedo High Yield fires twice instantly.
  • Verdict: A-Tier. Great for single-target DPS builds, but requires high cooldown reduction to cycle frequent enough.

The Console: “Auxiliary Ejection Core”

This universal console ejects a warp core that acts as a mine.

  • Clicky: Ejects core. Detonates after 3s for massive Kinetic damage.
  • Passive: +20% Phaser Damage, +15 Turn Rate.
  • Verdict: The passive is excellent for Phaser builds. The clicky is gimmicky but fun.

The Skin

This is the selling point. It uses the “Jefferies” material, which makes the ship look exactly like the physical studio model from the 1960s—including the matte painting look on the hull. It is arguably the best-looking TOS ship in the game.

Conclusion

Is it power creep? No. The Lexington and Inquiry still out-DPS it. However, as a 5/3 Cruiser with Miracle Worker seating, it is a solid platform. If you love the TOS aesthetic, it is a must-buy. If you are a min-maxer, you can skip it.
