The Janthir Wilds legendary, the Kodas’ Flame Relic, is a massive QoL upgrade for endgame players. However, crafting it requires months of preparation due to heavy time-gating.
This guide breaks down every material needed, separating the tradable items from the account-bound daily crafts.
The Recipe Breakdown
You will need to combine 4 components in the Mystic Forge:
- Gift of Condensed Magic
- Gift of Condensed Might
- Gift of Janthir Mastery (New)
- Precursor Relic: The Ember
1. Time-Gated Materials (Critical!)
Start crafting these immediately. You need 30 days minimum without trading.
- 30x Spiritwood Planks: Requires Elder Wood Logs + Mithril Ore + Thermocatalytic Reagent. (1 per day cd).
- Alternative: Buy from TP (Expensive).
- 30x Elonian Leather Squares: Requires Thick Leather Sections + Mithril Ore + Spool of Thick Elonian Cord (Account Bound). (1 per day cd).
- Note: The Spool costs 50 Spirit Shards each!
2. High-Cost Materials
- 250x Mystic Coins: (Approx 500g). Start saving your weekly Vault rewards.
- 250x Amalgamated Gemstones: Run Dragon’s Stand meta daily for free gems.
- T6 Materials: Full stack (250) of Blood, Venom, Totems, Dust, etc.
3. Account Bound Grind
- Ball of Dark Energy: Salvage Ascended Armor/Weapons. You need 5.
- Gift of Battle: Requires completing the WvW Reward Track. (Approx 4-8 hours).
Strategy
- Daily: Log in -> Craft Time-gated mats -> Run T4 Fractals for Gold -> Buy Mystic Coins.
- Weekly: Raids/Strikes for Legendary Divinations (if making the raid variant).
