Class Breakdown

Ronin (S-Tier): The support class. Heals teammates, revives from range, and his ultimate deals massive AoE damage. The most valuable class in a team — always wanted.

Hunter (S-Tier): Ranged DPS with devastating bow builds. Her ultimate (Explosive Arrow) clears waves. Highest damage potential with a good build.

Samurai (A-Tier): Melee powerhouse. Tanky, straightforward, great for solo play. His ultimate (Hachiman’s Fury) clears enemies in a wide arc.

Assassin (A-Tier): Stealth specialist. Critical strikes and assassination abilities. His ultimate (Shadow Strike) teleports between enemies. Best for skilled players.

Best for Beginners

  1. Samurai — simple, tanky, forgiving
  2. Ronin — support, always in demand
  3. Hunter — ranged, safe distance

Survival Mode Guide

How Survival Works

  • 15-25 waves of enemies
  • Defend 3 zones (Farm, Stable, Dojo)
  • Enemies scale with each wave
  • Boss waves (Oni) at intervals
  • Rewards based on completion + bonus objectives

Survival Strategy

  1. Split zones — 1-2 players per zone (4 players = 2/1/1 split)
  2. Prioritize captures — enemies capturing a zone lose you points
  3. Save ultimates for Oni waves — boss waves need burst
  4. Communicate — call out enemy positions
  5. Revive downed teammates — but only when safe

Story Mode

Story missions are 2-player co-op narrative missions.

Story Progression

  • 9 story missions at launch
  • Progress through the story to unlock survival and raid
  • Each mission has a unique setting and objectives
  • Completing missions on higher difficulty gives better rewards

Story Tips

  • Play with a friend — 2-player co-op
  • Match elements — some enemies resist certain damage types
  • Complete bonus objectives — extra rewards
  • Replay for better gear — higher difficulty = better drops

  2. Complete bonus objectives — more/better gear
  3. Farm Nightmare survival — best legendary drops
  4. Master your class — build around your role

Essential Tips

  1. Learn to parry — parrying is core combat, master it
  2. Stick with your team — don’t wander alone
  3. Use your class ability — ultimates win waves
  4. Build for your role — Ronin = support, Hunter = DPS
  5. Practice in story mode — learn combat before survival

Ghost of Tsushima Legends is a phenomenal co-op experience. Pick a class, master parrying, and team up for survival mode. The samurai combat translates beautifully to multiplayer.
