ESO: Gold Road Epilogue Puzzle Solution

The final quest of the Gold Road storyline, “The Forgotten Prince,” features a tricky puzzle involving Ithelia’s mirrors and Meridia’s light. Here is how to solve the room without trial and error.

The Room Layout

You enter a circular room with:

  • Source of Light: North wall.
  • Target Prism: South wall (locked behind bars).
  • 3 Movable Pillars: Left, Center, Right.
  • 2 Rotatable Mirrors: East, West.

Solution Steps

  1. Activate the Source: Pull the lever on the North wall. A beam of golden light shoots out.
  2. Move the Center Pillar: Interact with the floor tracks. Push the Center Pillar twice forward until it locks. It has a crystal that splits the beam.
  3. Rotate West Mirror: Go to the left (West). Rotate the mirror three times so it faces South-East.
  4. Rotate East Mirror: Go to the right (East). Rotate the mirror once so it faces South-West.
  5. Move Left/Right Pillars:
    • Push Left Pillar once forward.
    • Pull Right Pillar once back.

Result

The beam hits the center crystal > splits to East/West mirrors > reflects diagonally to hit the two receivers on the the South gate simultaneously.

Bug Warning: If the beam bugs out and doesn’t visually connect, try logging out and back in to reset the instance. Do not leave the room, or the pillars will reset.
