Cabal Online Dungeon Guide
Dungeons are the primary source of end-game gear, experience, and materials in Cabal Online. Each dungeon is accessible only with specific Force Core entry items and has a character level requirement. Understanding the dungeon system is essential for progressing your character beyond the open-world leveling phase.
Types of Dungeons in Cabal Online
Cabal Online has several dungeon categories, each serving different gameplay purposes:
Normal Dungeons
Standard PvE instances that exist as part of the open-world map system. They are accessible at varying level thresholds and provide gear drops and experience appropriate to their tier.
Mission Dungeons
Time-limited instanced dungeons with a daily entry limit. Mission dungeons reset daily and are the primary source of high-quality equipment drops at endgame. They are harder than normal dungeons but provide significantly better rewards.
Forgotten Ruins
A specific dungeon type with unique mechanics and higher difficulty. Forgotten Ruins dungeons require special entry items beyond standard Force Cores.
Bonus Dungeons (Trial Dungeons / Special Instances)
Specific event-timed or periodically-accessible instances with exclusive rare rewards.
Force Cores: The Entry System
To enter most dungeons in Cabal Online, you need a Force Core — a consumable entry item. Force Cores come in different tiers:
| Force Core Type | Dungeon Tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Force Core (Low) | Low-level dungeons | Easily obtained; common drop |
| Force Core (Middle) | Mid-tier dungeons | Moderate drop rate |
| Force Core (High) | Endgame dungeons | Rare; primary farm target or purchasable |
| Force Core (Highest) | Highest tier instances | Very rare; trade value is high |
Force Cores are consumed on dungeon entry — one core per entry attempt per character. They drop from monsters throughout the game, with higher-tier enemies dropping higher-tier cores.
Obtaining Force Cores
- Monster drops: Farm mobs appropriate to the core tier you need
- Player market (War Department/Trade NPCs): Buy from other players
- Dungeon reward crates: Some dungeons drop extra cores as secondary rewards
Maintaining a stockpile of Force Cores is essential for consistent dungeon running. Many endgame players farm Force Cores as their first priority when they run low.
Dungeon Level Tiers
Cabal Online’s dungeons scale across the entire level range:
Early Dungeons (Levels 30–80)
- Santa’s Grotto (seasonal) or equivalent introductory instances
- Low-tier Mission Dungeons accessible to characters building toward max level
- Rewards: Level-appropriate gear, experience boost, basic Force Core drops
Mid-Game Dungeons (Levels 80–140)
- Multiple instanced zones with increasingly complex enemy patterns
- Rewards: Upgradeable gear pieces, Force Cores, Enhancement materials
- Grouping becomes more effective here
Endgame Dungeons (Level 140+, Force Core High required)
The most relevant content for advanced characters:
- High-difficulty instanced zones with elite boss encounters
- Mission Dungeon (Force Dungeon): Primary endgame gear source
- Rewards: Highest-tier equipment, Osm/Epita gear, upgrade crafting materials
Mission Dungeons: Endgame Focus
Mission Dungeons (also called Force Dungeons or similar in different Cabal versions) are the cornerstone of endgame progression:
- Daily entry limit (typically 2–3 runs per day)
- Timer-based — you must complete the dungeon before time runs out
- Higher clear speed = better reward tier
Mission Dungeon Tiers
Within Mission Dungeons, multiple difficulty variants exist:
- Normal: Accessible; rewards basic endgame materials
- Hard: Higher requirements; better rewards
- Extra Hard / Elite: Maximum difficulty; best possible drops
Completing higher-tier mission dungeons provides the best gear in the game.
Party Composition for Dungeons
Cabal Online dungeons are designed for a party of 1–5 players:
| Role | Recommended Class |
|---|---|
| Tank / Frontline | Warrior, Blader |
| Magic DPS | Wizard, Force Shielder |
| Combo DPS | Force Blader, Warrior |
| Support | Force Archer (ranged; can kite) |
Solo dungeon runs are possible with well-geared characters, but parties clear faster and have lower Force Core waste from failed runs.
Tips for Dungeon Efficiency
- Match Force Core tier to dungeon level — using a High Core for a Low dungeon is wasteful
- Complete daily Mission Dungeons first — they have entry limits and reset daily; don’t miss them
- Learn the boss patterns — Cabal bosses have AoE telegraphs; standing in them is the primary cause of party wipes
- Buff up before entering — Cabal has a rich buff system; use all available potions and buffs before dungeon entry
- Use Aura of Fortune or similar buff — drop rate buffs from premium items or skills improve reward quality
- Track dungeon timers — if you’re running out of time, skip optional pulls and focus on the boss
